This transformative arrangement of the traditional sea shanty Haul away Joe follows the story of an unlucky-in-love young sailor, and his eventual true love in Scotland. It includes a verse of the popular folk song The parting glass before a rousing final chorus.
Written for the student chamber choir, Animas. In memory of our inspirational family friend, Keith Waddell, whose words are quoted at the end of the piece: "Never forget you are machineries of joy".
For unaccompanied SSAATTBB voices, Soprano, Alto, and Baritone solos. Please note: no piano reduction is provided. Six A4 pages.
Please purchase as many copies as you intend to print. © Joe Tobin
